Beautiful Tuscany

Lovely villa with possibly the best pool of any holiday rental that we have used. Beautiful surroundings in this mountainous region. We very much enjoyed the fireflies in the meadows at night. Loads of info on trips out and various eating establishments in the area. It is very much a family home and wish to thank both Phil and Ann for letting us enjoy their holiday house.

Tuscany Retreat

We had a fantastic time in this lovely authentic villa. The locals are all very friendly and it's an ideal place to try out your Italian. The bread lady down the road is very friendly and the bar on the main road sells lovely local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Stunning Villa To Relax And Enjoy The Beautiful Tuscan Landscape

This is a house where you can just turn up and immediately emerse yourself in Tuscan village life. Scenery was stunning, house was beautiful and homely, and outside space with pool was fantastic. Would recommend this villa to all. Went with 3 teenage daughters who enjoyed the experience. The half hourly chime from the bell tower is both an experience and a charming reminder of the slowness of time relaxing throughout the house and outdoors. Thanks for a lovely week and will certainly look to return.

We have stayed in this stunning Tuscan house many times and never grow tired of it's wonderful location amidst stunning scenery in the tiny hamlet of Po. It is decorated, furnished and equipped to the highest standard and clearly the owners take great pride in ensuring that your stay is memorable. Breakfast on the rear terrace with bread literally straight from the local, log fired oven (forno) just a few minutes walk away followed by a relaxing day by the pool and an evening meal on the front terrace watching the sun set down the valley is our idea of heaven. Fivizzano, a small market town just a 10 minute drive away, offers a variety of local produce in it's array of friendly shops including bakers, butchers, mini markets, supermarket, fish shop and bars. A coffee, or something a little stronger, in one of the two the cafes in the piazza is a must as is a visit to the Pizzaria with its fantastic choice of ridiculously cheap pizzas. There are good, reasonably priced restaurants in the area and in Gianninos, on the road to Cerreto, you will experience the best pasta we have ever tasted with stunning views down the valley from the terrace. Lucca, Pisa and Florence are within easy driving distance as are the airports of Genoa, Pisa and Parma. So, if you are looking for a holiday in a beautiful house surrounded by jaw dropping vistas then look no further.

Beautiful September Stay

We have returned to this stunning villa, this time in September. The weather has been beautiful with deep blue skies so we have not felt the need to venture far particularly as the pool is still great to swim in. We did visit the coast at Marinella di Sarzana, an easy one hour drive, which was ideally quiet after the summer squash. There are a number of local festas this time of the year (fig and chestnuts) which are very friendly and welcoming and great fun to visit. There is now a monthly antiques market in the piazza in Fivizzano where we bought some interesting items to take home including a ‘diamond’ encrusted watch for my wife for 5 euros!!! Whilst you will need a light sweater for the evenings it is still wonderful to dine outside on the front terrace watching the brilliant sunsets down the valley.
